What is a .isof file?

ISOF means Isotopic Secure Open Format. It is a structured file format designed to keep isotope measurements and their scientific context together in one readable document.

A .isof file can include sample information, isotopic ratios, uncertainties, reference materials, geochemical measurements, analytical methods, depth information and digital signatures.

One structured document Measurements and metadata stay connected to the sample they describe.

Readable format The file is based on JSON and can be opened with simple text tools.
